Mr. Gisi (Phil) is the founder and Chairman/CEO of the Edgewood Group of Companies, a diverse group of companies spanning the upper Midwest United States. Edgewood Healthcare is a vertically integrated assisted living and healthcare services company with 64 senior housing facilities with over 4,100 beds in Idaho, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming. Edgewood Healthcare also provides primary care, home care, therapy services, home health, and hospice services across the region. Over the past 30 years, Edgewood has grown into one of the largest privately held senior housing and home-based healthcare provider in the upper Midwest. Other holdings within Edgewood include air ambulances, hotels, restaurants, event centers, ethanol producers, and oil field services in North Dakota and Montana.
Phil is the co-founder and CEO of Aspire Clinical Intelligence LLC, a dynamic electronic health record that provides clinicians with biometric and diagnostic patient data, artificial intelligence, and treatment alternatives for residents with chronic conditions in assisted living and other home environments.
Phil is the co-founder and board member of Edgewood Real Estate Investment Trust, a $2 Billion private REIT with real estate holdings in 15 States, including senior housing, medical office and surgery centers, professional office space, and multi-family housing.
Phil is also the founder and Chairman/CEO of Senior Healthcare Innovation Consortium Inc, a non-profit education and scientific research company dedicated to enhancing the quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness of home-based healthcare services provided to seniors.
Phil was raised on a farm near New Rockford, North Dakota, and is a 1982 graduate of the University of North Dakota with a Bachelor of Science in business administration and accounting. Gisi first served as the CFO for an oil field service and construction company from 1982 to 1985. From 1986 to 1996, Gisi served as the vice president/CFO, and president/CEO for St. Joseph’s/UniMed Medical Center, a 200-bed regional hospital in Minot, North Dakota.
Phil’s past board experience includes INREIT Properties (now Sterling Multifamily Trust), the East Grand Forks Chamber of Commerce (where Gisi served as chair), and the Alumni Advisory Council of the University of North Dakota College of Business and Public Administration. From 2009 to 2020 Gisi served as a community board member and secretary of Altru Health System of Grand Forks, ND, and from 2009 to 2021 a board member of the University of North Dakota Alumni Association Foundation. Gisi also served on the board of directors of Tulsa, Oklahoma-based Cypress Energy Partners LP (NYSE: “CELP”) from 2013 to 2016, during which time the company went public.
Phil continues to be active on local boards including board advisor for Red Trail Energy LLC, an ethanol plant located in Richardton, North Dakota; board member and co-chair for the UND Center for Innovation Foundation in Grand Forks; board member and secretary of Altru Care Flight, an air ambulance service based in Grand Forks; and an advisor to the Dakota Venture Group, a UND student-run venture capital company. Phil and his wife, Patricia, have two children and live in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Michael Johnson, RN, is the Chief Operating Officer of Aspire Clinical Intelligence. Johnson is responsible for the development of the Effective Health Record for the company and for future commercialization in the healthcare industry. Prior to joining the Aspire team, Johnson was the Executive Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer for the Health Services division of Edgewood Healthcare. He has also served as the Regional Vice President/COO for the company and as Director of Nursing for Edgewood Vista in Brainerd, MN. Professionally, Johnson has dedicated much of his career to the senior living industry as well as acute care, logging over 30 years of clinical experience. Johnson was raised in Cando, ND, with his six siblings. He received his degree in nursing from the University of the State of New York and is currently obtaining his Master of Science degree from Maryville University. In his spare time, Johnson likes to relax at the lake, travel, and enjoy time with his three adult children and two grandchildren.

Jorin Becker is currently assisting in the design and development of Aspire Clinical Intelligence. He supports Aspire’s Issues Database and provides customer support. Becker was raised in Boulder, CO. He attended the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, as well as Colorado State University. In his free time, Becker enjoys traveling, surfing, and spending time with family and pets.

Erica Kalis is responsible for leading the implementation and customer service delivery for Aspire products, developing strategies to determine project timelines, and finding new product opportunities. Kalis was raised in Pembina, ND, and received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of North Dakota. Before joining the Aspire team, Kalis was both a Clinical Data Director and Corporate Quality Assurance manager for Edgewood Healthcare. In her spare time, Kalis enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, traveling, and exploring the outdoors.

Curtis Boger grew up in Finley, ND, but graduated from high school in Las Vegas. He earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of North Dakota with majors in Mathematics and Computer Science, as well as a minor in Statistics. Boger earned a Master of Science degree in Computer and Information Sciences at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities Campus. Boger’s experience includes working at IBM as an Advisory Software Engineer, where he helped design a new RDMS engine and query optimization, for which he was awarded several patents. Boger and his wife Lynn reside in Oronoco, MN. Prior to his recent position at Aspire, he had been working as Youth Ministry Director at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Rochester.

Luke Donley is a Front-End Developer for Aspire Clinical Intelligence. Luke’s role is designing and developing the user interface to provide an optimal user experience. Prior to joining Aspire, Luke worked for several years as a Full-Stack and Front-End Software Developer. In previous positions, he used a creative and customized approach to meeting users’ needs. Luke has assisted clients with data migration and integration, and he completed extensive work on a cloud-based ERP software suite. In addition to programming, Luke comes to Aspire Clinical Intelligence with 15 years of cumulative experience in providing customer service and client support in various roles and industries. Luke grew up in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. He and his partner, Rebecca, currently reside in Minneapolis, MN, with their son. In his spare time, Luke enjoys building and designing electronic musical instruments, collecting records, and playing games with his son.

Zach Downs is the Chief Financial Officer for Aspire Clinical Intelligence. Before joining the Aspire team, Zach was an Executive Director for Edgewood Healthcare at their Walker, MN community. In addition to his role at Aspire Clinical Intelligence, Zach is also the Executive Director of the Senior Healthcare Innovation Consortium (SHIC).
